Fellowship of Eagle Scouts

About

The Bay Area Council Fellowship of Eagle Scouts is a fellowship of Eagle Scout Alumni who reside or work within the boundaries of the Bay Area Council, or individuals who achieved the rank of Eagle Scout from a Unit within the Bay Area Council.   Membership is open to all Eagle Scouts in this area.  There is no charge to join or maintain membership.

Mission Statement

By the group’s efforts we will perpetuate the growth of Scouting through the power of Eagle Scout leadership.

Vision Statement

To rekindle the enthusiasm that engages Eagle Alumni in a way that models the Scout Oath and Law and demonstrates leadership and inspires others.

We accomplish our mission and vision through Eagle Scout recognition, networking, and service.  All Eagle Scouts are encouraged to join and volunteer. The BAC-Fellowship of Eagle Scouts is an organized group of Eagle Scouts who will use their efforts and influence towards the betterment of the overall Scouting program and specifically the Bay Area Council.

Membership

Bay Area Council Fellowship of Eagle Scouts membership requirements:

  • Membership in the Fellowship of Eagles is open to any and all Eagle Scouts and is complimentary.

  • Charter member – A Charter Member is an individual that did achieve the rank of Eagle Scout and believes in the principles of the Fellowship of Eagle Scouts. These members formed the Fellowship of Eagles in 2014.

  • Membership - Open to any Eagle Scout who received the Eagle Scout award in the Bay Area Council or who lives within the boundaries of the Bay Area Council, and is complimentary.

  • Patron membership – A Patron is an individual that did not achieve the rank of Eagle Scout but believes in the principles of the Fellowship of Eagle Scouts, and is complimentary.

Service

  • Participate in at least one annual service project per year (project can be Scout sponsored or community sponsored.) It will be an “Eagle Scout Day of Service.”
  • Tally all Eagle Scout service project hours in the Council and report number as a percentage of total Bay Area Council service hours.

Awards

There will be two awards given from the Fellowship of Eagle Scouts, both Outstanding Eagle Scout Award and Distinguished Eagle Scout Awards are to be reviewed.  (Award quota is 1 award per first 200 Eagle Scout in council)  Presentation is to take place at the annual Bay Area Council Gathering of Eagles/Silver Beaver Banquet or at such time and place as deemed appropriate based on the schedule or request of the recipient.

Scholarships

We will promote NESA scholarships to Bay Area Council Eagle recipients.

Join the National Eagle Scout Association

The National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) is the official membership organization for men who have earned the Eagle Scout Award.

At its essence, NESA is concerned with the perpetuation of the Boy Scout movement by bringing the power of adult Eagle Scout leadership in full support of Scouting in local councils. Eagle Scouts represent Scouting’s finest.  NESA seeks to draw on those talented men who have has a rich experience in Scouting and who share a common bond.

The Bay Area Council Fellowship of Eagle Scouts is the NESA – recognized Eagle Scout Committee for the Bay Area Council. The Bay Area Council Fellowship of Eagle Scouts will support NESA and encourage all of its members to be active in NESA membership.

COSTS:

Life membership
The life membership is available for a one-time payment of $250. Members will receive attractive full-color pocket and wall certificates and a gold NESA pin.

Regular membership
A five-year new or renewal membership is available for $35. Pocket and wall certificates, plus a silver NESA pin, are provided in this fee.

Payment methods
The National Eagle Scout Association accepts credit cards, money orders, or checks for membership payment.

Become a Fellowship of Eagle Scouts member

COST:
Complimentary. Open to any and all Eagle Scouts.

Charter member – A Charter Member is an individual that did achieve the rank of Eagle Scout and believes in the principles of the Fellowship of Eagle scouts.

Patron membership—A Patron is an individual that did not achieve the rank of Eagle Scout but believes in the principles of the Fellowship of Eagle scouts, and is willing to provide financial assistance to the organization.

To become a Charter Member or Patron, an initial sponsorship donation of $150, or more, is to be given in support of the Fellowship of Eagle Scouts, and then annually you will serve as an Eagle Scout Sponsor in support of the Gathering of Eagles/Silver Beaver Recognition Dinner within the Council.
